  Gujarat Government has provided Rs 2.25 crore to 5 lakh citizens under ‘PMJAY- Maa yojna’

Inaugurating the three-day Swasthya Chintan Shibir at Statue of Unity-Ektanagar under the 14th meeting of the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel said, this shibir and its results will benefit the health sector of the nation.  The camp, which is being held under the chairmanship of Union Health Minister Mansukhbhai Mandvia from May 5 to 7, has been attended by health ministers, secretaries and medical experts from 25 states and union territories of the country.

Addressing the inaugural session of the camp, the Chief Minister said that the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav is being celebrated all over the country, on the occasion of which all the state governments, representatives of Central Government Health Department, State and Union Ministers, experts are at Ektanagar to conduct joint efforts to make the country's healthcare, healthcare practices, Ayurveda, AYUSH, Yoga comprehensive and better.

Minister Shri Mansukhbhai Mandvia called upon the Health Ministers from various states and Union Territories as well as health leaders from across the country and the Union Territories to brainstorm on the concept of best management in the health sector in the state and the country by harmonizing the health services and facilities. The meeting of the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare, which was earlier held in Delhi, is the beginning of a change in the tradition and the first time a Chintan Shibir has been organized in Ektanagar by honoring the invitation of Gujarat Health Minister Shri Hrishikeshbhai Patel, he said.

The Central Government has recently announced a special package of Rs.64000 crore to enhance the infrastructure of health services in the country. The projects will include medical college tertiary care facilities, state-of-the-art labs, technical services and equipment, the minister said.

Stating that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we have been successful in giving the first dose of corona vaccination to 4.5 per cent citizens of India with a population of 135 crore, Bharat model of corona management and vaccination has become a subject of study for other countries.

The camp was attended by Health Ministers of 25 States and Union Territories, Union Health and Family Welfare Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, NITI aayog Member Dr. VK Paul, Additional Health Secretary Vikas Sheel, Health Secretaries of various states, Health Commissioners and National Health Mission Mission Directors were present.
